Fastest Line
This will help kids learn more about each other.
Depending on the number of guests, divide them up into lines of 2 or 3 (each line should have about 5 or so people). They have to arrange themselves in the proper order, according to what the host says, and only when the host says, "Go!".
For example, "Arrange yourselves according to the first letter of your last name, from A-Z."
Other suggestions :
1. By foot size (smallest to biggest)
2. By size of little finger (longest to shortest)
3. By number of moles on face.
4. By birthday (January to December).
5. By hair length.
To make it more interesting, the host can tell them to arrange themselves backwards - e.g. arranging themselves by birthday from December to January instead.
The point is to organize themselves correctly and as quickly as they can. Once they get their sequence correctly, they sit down as quickly as they can and raise their arms.
The host will then go over the line and check how accurate they are. A point goes to the team who got the correct sequence in the fastest time possible. The team with the most number of points at the end of the game wins.

Egyptian Mummy Wrap
Divide the kids into pairs, with one playing the Mummy and the other the Mummy Wrapper. Give each Wrapper a roll of toilet paper. On the word "Go!" have the Wrappers race to see who can wrap up their Mummy fastest. The game is tricky because the faster they try to wrap, the more the tissue will tear, causing them to keep restarting!

Make Magic Wands
Cut star shapes from a poster board and glue to barbecue sticks. As guests arrive, let the kids decorate their own wands with glue, glitter, stickers or watercolors.
Amazing Adjective
When introducing a guest to the rest of the party, use an adjective that begins with the same letter as your guest's name. For example, "Hey everyone, meet the Great Gabby!" This will help children remember each other while making each one feel absolutely super!
Candy Candles
Get your birthday candles to stay put on the cake with ring-shaped candy, large marshmallows or gummy rings. Just remember to stick the candle in the holder before you stick them on the cake or you'll have frosting all over your fingers!
Birthday Lights
Cut the open end of the cup into zigzags to form the fancy bottom of the lantern. Use a barbecue stick to poke two holes across the end of the cup and string the yarn through them. Continue until you have a whole string of lanterns ready for the party!
